Lord Shiva, the Hindu god of meditation and the arts. Ancient Indian epics tell the story of how Shiva showed yoga to his divine consort Parvati for the first time while a dolphin in the river Ganges was listening to him. When he heard the god’s teachings, the dolphin was turned into a man and was called Matsyendra, the Fish King. This disciple would later be Shiva Mahadeva Nath, the creator of yoga.
